Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM (PST)
The City and County of Spokane jointly own Spokane Airports, which is comprised of Spokane International Airport, Felts Field Airport, and the Airport Business Park. Spokane International Airport is a 4,800-acre commercial service airport served by ten airlines and three air cargo carriers. It is the second largest airport in the State of Washington. Felts Field is a 400-acre general reliever airport that is home to over 320 aircraft and forty-nine tenants. It has one Fix Based Operator and avionic services available. All three Spokane Airport facilities are financially self-sufficient from revenues generated from fees, leases and concession agreements; they do not receive, nor are operated with, appropriated tax dollars.
Larry Krauter was named CEO of Spokane Airports in March, 2011. He previously served as the CEO of the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority in Lehigh Valley, PA, where he was responsible for operating a three-airport system. While there, Larry also held the positions of Director of Planning & Engineering and COO, and was the Chairman of the City of Bethlehem Planning Commission. He started his aviation career as an Airport Planner working for the City of Columbus, OH, Division of Airports and prior to that also worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation on bridge and highway projects. Larry is an Accredited Airport Executive, licensed member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, holds multiple certifications from the Construction Specifications Institute, and is a graduate of Ohio State University.
